What's happening around Rhode Island
Wellness does not only happen at our events. These are walks, cooking nights, screenings and support groups run by other groups in Rhode Island that we are glad to point at. If you have one of your own, send it along and we will share it here.

Walking & Movement
Walk with a Doc Providence
Walk with a Doc, Providence chapter
- Various Saturdays at 10:00 AM
- Providence River Pedestrian Bridge, Providence, RI
Meet on the east side of the pedestrian bridge, South Water Street near James Street, across the street from the bridge entrance and across from the former Plant City restaurant.
Walk with a Doc is a walking program for everyone interested in taking steps for a healthier lifestyle. While you walk at your own pace, you have the opportunity to have questions answered by local physicians and medical students. You don't need any special gear and there are no special rules. Just put on a pair of comfortable shoes and walk alone, with friends, a partner or family or with a group. It's a personal preference. The location is subject to change each week, so join their Facebook Group or email the host to get added to the mailing list. Sign the waiver on their page before your first walk; the Providence chapter number is 5027. Lead physicians: Dr. Max Cohen and Dr. Mariah Stump.
