Healthy Recipes

This is where we collect the dishes we cook in our workshops and set out at community suppers. We are adding them one at a time, so the list grows as we cook.

Recipes, added one at a time

Open a recipe for the ingredients and the steps. Anything you cook differently, tell us: we trade recipes the same way we trade dishes.

The list is just getting started

We are adding recipes one at a time, each one from the person who cooks it. Check back soon, or send us a dish your family has kept and we will print it here with your name.

Cook once, eat well twice.

Mostly plants, plainly cooked

Vegetables, fruit, beans, lentils, whole grains, nuts and seeds lead the plate. Nothing here needs a specialty store or a second pan.

High fiber, low glycemic

Meals lean on beans and whole grains so they hold you for hours instead of an hour.

Cheap enough to repeat

Dried lentils, canned beans, frozen and in-season vegetables do most of the work.

Share a recipe you cook

The recipes that travel best are the ones passed hand to hand. Send us a dish your family has kept, and we will cook it at a workshop and print your name with it.

We use what you send only to reply to you and to plan community programming.
